Philippine Drift Series Round 2

The 2026 Philippine Drift Series Round 2, held at the Philippine Arena, showcased high-energy competition across both the Pro and Amateur classes. The event featured a mix of local and international drivers delivering intense tandem battles and impressive displays of drifting skill.

Highlights

  • Amateur Class: The division concluded with a thrilling final battle between Miguel Dizon of the R33 Drift Academy and Shane Oliver of Wheelman Raceworks, with Oliver ultimately taking first place and Dizon securing second.

  • Pro Class: As the top-tier category, the Pro class saw plenty of intense rivalries, including highly anticipated matchups between Isaac Reyes, Mark Bernardo, Boodie Dabasol, and Jay Lazaga.

Dramatic Turn of Events in the Pro Bracket

Prior to the semifinals, Danial Miranda of DMF Drift successfully reached the Top 16. However, he was unable to qualify for the Top 8 tandems due to a crash during a high-pressure tandem battle with Chester Yao. With Yao leading and Miranda giving chase, Yao spun out, causing a collision that severely impacted the all-around performance of the DMF-built S15.

Although the mechanics scrambled to repair the vehicle, it just wasn't the same—the structural damage clearly threw off the chassis' balance, unfortunately knocking Miranda out of Top 8 contention.

The category wrapped up with a spectacular final battle between Bernardo and Reyes, with Mark Bernardo ultimately clinching the top spot on the podium.
